บทคัดย่อ

การทรงเจาเขาผีถือเปนรูปแบบความเชื่อที่ถูกนําเขามาเปนสวนหนึ่งในระบบความเชื่อแบบพุทธ ทั้งที่จริง
แลวขัดแยงตอกับจุดประสงคที่แทจริงของพระพุทธศาสนาที่มุงเนนวิถีแหงปญญา อยางไรก็ตาม พระพุทธศาสนาไมได
ปฎิเสธเรื่องเทพเจาหรืออิทธิปาฏิหาริย แตชี้วา เทพเจาตกอยูภายใตกฎธรรมชาติ การวิงวอนตอเจาหรือขอพึ่งพาเทพ
เจาจึงเปนเรื่องไรสาระและเปนการดําเนินชีวิตโดยประมาท สวนประเด็นการทรงเจาในมุมมองพระพุทธศาสนาโดยสรุป
มีดังนี้ การทรงเจาและรางทรงของพระอรหันตไมสามารถเปนไปได เพราะพระอรหันตไดหลุดพนจากการเวียนวาย
ตายเกิดโดยประการทั้งปวงแลว, การทรงเจาและรางทรงของพระภิกษุ ถือเปนการผิดตอพระวินัยโดยสิ้นเชิง เพราะ
พระพุทธเจาไมทรงสนับสนุนอิทธิปาฏิหาริย ถาพระสงฆแสดงอิทธิปาฏิหาริยถือวาผิดตอพระวินัยบัญญัติ, การทรงเจา
และรางทรงของเทพ ไมใชแนวทางที่ประเสริฐตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนา เพราะการวิงวอนขอความชวยเหลือจาก
เทวดาไมสามารถจะตานทานหรือกีดกันความเพียรพยายามของมนุษยได และการเขาทรงและรางทรงของวิญญาณ
ทั่วไป เชน พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกลาเจาอยูหัว ควรจะพึ่งพาดวยการถือเปนแบบอยางในการดําเนินชีวิตตาม
พระจริยาวัตรอันทรงคุณประโยชนของพระองค

Abstract

Raising spirits of the dead has been brought in and became a part of Buddhist belief despite it
actually goes against the real objective of Buddhism that emphasizes on the path of wisdom. Although
Buddhism doesn’t refuse the existence of gods or magical power, it points out that gods also fall under the
law of nature. Therefore, pleading with or depending on gods is nonsense, living in negligence. The issues
about raising spirits of the dead in Buddhist aspects can be concluded as follows. Raising spirits of arahant
is impossible because arahant go into nirvana, free from the circle of life forever. Raising spirits by a monk
directly violates the Buddhist disciplines because the Buddha doesn’t support magical power. So, if a monk
shows any kinds of magical power, he violates the disciplines. Raising spirits of gods isn’t a noble path
according to the Buddhism principles because pleading with gods for helps can’t resist or obstruct humans’
attempts. And raising spirits of general spirits, for example the spirit of King Rama V, is improper. His
Majesty should be an excellent example of living, making benefits for other people.
